Hakuba is one of the most popular ski resorts in Japan, located in the Nagano Prefecture at the foot of the Japan Alps. It hosted the 1998Winter Olympics. When the mountains are covered with thick snow, many lovers of winter holidays come here. Three mount slopes feature several ski resorts. Some runs are floodlit for a night skiing. Wonderful climate, picturesque sceneries and perfect snow conditions make this region popular among tourists. But in summer it offers many activities as well: the fishing is highly developed; there’re numerous hot springs and three lakes with pristine water. Due to the Japanese and European bars located here, Hakuba is also famous for its nightlife.
