Whiteface Lodge
Lake Placid, USA
The Whiteface Lodge, a Lake Placid Resort, was envisioned as a return to the grandeur of the Great Camps of the Adirondacks with the luxury amenities of today’s finest resorts and private residence clubs. Completed in June 2005, it is the vision of a former Olympian and developer who used his decades of building experience to create one of the grandest properties in the region. Much of the timber for this Lake Placid Resort was hand-milled on site and accents such as handcrafted Adirondack furnishings may be found throughout, creating a wonderfully authentic ambiance. In each guest room, Adirondack hardwood furnishings and hand-forged accents are accompanied by splendid amenities, from jetted tubs and pillow-top beds to cast iron gas fireplaces and LCD televisions.
Location
The Whiteface Lodge is situated on the edge of charming Lake Placid, New York and rests just moments from the village’s namesake. A refuge from the hectic pace of urban life, the resort is nestled in the Adirondack Mountains, yet accessible from nearby cities including Albany and Burlington.
