Individually designed with an East-meets-West aesthetic, our 73 rooms and suites are some of the largest in Munich. There are 48 rooms, some with views over the city, others overlooking the Hofbräuhaus beer gardens. Some of the 25 spacious suites offer outdoor terraces.
All are furnished in our signature East-meets-West style with thick Oriental rugs laid over light parquet floors and beautiful cherry wood furnishings including a desk and cabinets designed in the neo-Biedermeier style. We offer couples the chance to use our wonderful wedding menu created by our expert Executive Chef Simon Larese. Alternatively, if you are looking for something unique we also invite couples to devise their own menu in conjunction with the Chef. Our sommelier is also on hand to help you with your wine selection, while our catering team are experts when it comes to wedding cakes. Our in-house events team can recommend wedding planners to work with you in the run-up to your big day. We will work closely with them, looking after important details such as the catering and décor.
Matsuhisa entered Germany’s culinary world, introducing the award-winning cuisine of internationally celebrated chef Nobuyuki (Nobu) Matsuhisa to the Bavarian capital, and to Germany. The restaurant follows the successful format of the chef’s original Matsuhisa Beverly Hills and his five other exclusive outposts around the world. Offering Nobu Matsuhisa’s renowned New Style Japanese-Peruvian cuisine the menu has an emphasis on seafood, featuring signature dishes such as the legendary Black Cod and Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi with jalapeños, alongside grilled lamb cooked over tealeaves with Peruvian Anticucho sauce, as well as traditionally prepared sushi. The restaurant offers a semi-private dining section with space for up to 10 guests. In this intimate setting, guests can experience Omakase, a bespoke culinary experience exploring the chef’s choice of tailor-made menus. Matsuhisa, Munich will also feature an exclusive eight-seat live cooking counter where skilled chefs will prepare a variety of Nobu’s famous Japanese-Peruvian dishes.
Elegantly designed interiors of the Bar31 in petrol blue, moss and bronze provide the backdrop for the Asian-inspired, international and classic cocktails, served alongside innovative snacks including signature Matsuhisa dishes. Guests are invited to a journey on which classic drinks and cocktails can be experienced in a very different and special way.
Adjacent to the lobby area, The Lounge is the ideal retreat and meeting place for our hotel guests. Serving a selection of coffees, Afternoon Tea and cake specialties, The Lounge also offers a choice of international snacks at lunch and during the evening.
Open during the warm summer months, our stunning China Moon Roof Terrace is one of Munich’s best-kept secrets. The design mixes chic Asian touches with classic Western garden style. Visitors can dine al fresco, sip cocktails or take a dip in our pool (for in-house guests only). Guests can enjoy a mix of Asian, Mediterranean and Arabic delicacies, while staring out at the view, which takes in everything from the twin domes of Munich Cathedral to the undulating alpine horizon.
