The two-Michelin-starred Chinese fine dining restaurant Bao Li Xuan serves haute Cantonese cuisine. With Chef Fu at the helm, the menu fuses tradition with quality and seasonality.
Bao Li Xuan occupies an elegant space on the third floor of Shanghai’s historic Chamber of Commerce building, now part of Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai. The restaurant’s design pays homage to old Shanghai with turquoise raw silk wallpaper, black lacquer panels and art deco patterned carpets. Six private dining rooms, available for exclusive banquets or dinner parties, are each clad in a different colour silk wallpaper – a tradition native to China – in hues inspired by Bvlgari gemstones and adorned with hand-drawn jewellery sketches from the Bvlgari archives.
To complement the cuisine, the resident sommelier can help guests select fine wines from the large walk-through wine cellar, as well as a variety of Chinese baijiu, yellow wine and fresh teas.
